Stephanie Feder

My name is Stephanie Feder. I am a theologian from Germany. Since I worked for one year as a volunteer in Tanzania and I studied at Tangaza College in Nairobi my main interest in theological research is Africa. Primarily, I am interested in issues regarding the Bible. Currently I am doing my PhD in biblical studies. My dissertation will be about the book of Ruth and its diverse ways of reading. I compare western and African ways of reading the book of Ruth and try to find out how the context influences reading and how western and African biblical scholars can benefit from each others interpretation.

Tsena Malalaka is a good opportunity for me to get known to people who are also interested in a dialog between Africans and Europeans. It is a chance for me to be part of a vivid exchange about theological topics.
